Scent-Sation

YSL

YSL chose Bweez to create "Scent-Sation," an emotional and olfactory experience—a fully immersive space where fragrance awakens the senses. Equipped with a YSL SCENT-SATION headset, emotions are revealed, allowing users to discover the YSL fragrance that evokes the most positive feelings. Combining neuroscience and artificial intelligence, this revolutionary multi-sensory experience captures five emotions, each animated by fourteen different notes, to guide the customer towards three of the 46 YSL fragrances. Initially launched at Dubai Mall and then at Vivatech, this experience has achieved remarkable conversion rates, exceeding 50%. Now present in over five countries, the Bweez team is preparing for an ambitious rollout by the end of 2024.

TECHNOLOGICAL SOURCING

As part of a project for the L’Oréal Group, Bweez was selected to audit several suppliers specializing in EEG headsets and wristbands.

The objective was to choose a technology that meets the retail and global deployment requirements of the group, ensuring complete impartiality.

A series of ergonomic and technical tests were conducted to guide the selection towards a single headset, aimed at enhancing the YSL experience.

UI DESIGN

The UI identity features a stark black-and-white design, offering a premium and minimalist aesthetic.

The use of textures, clean shapes, and sans-serif typography gives the design a modern touch, perfectly aligned with the Yves Saint Laurent spirit.

This stylistic choice aims to appeal to a young audience while capturing the bold and edgy essence of the brand.

(The user interface was designed by L'Oréal and developed by Bweez).

GRAPHICAL DESIGN

Bweez collaborated with Yves Saint Laurent to adapt the graphic content to the architectural spaces.

Optimizing the graphic content allowed us to reduce hardware costs while providing a fully immersive experience.

The segmentation of visuals across multiple screens creates a unique and distinctly experiential architectural signature.

DEVELOPMENT

Following the development initiative launched by the L'Oréal Group, Bweez was tasked with taking over the project to apply its expertise in application development.

Bweez's responsibilities included improving the stability and Bluetooth connectivity, analyzing the data transmitted by the EEG headset, redesigning the code for better modularity, and strengthening the data security system.

These interventions made the project deployable and perfectly suited to the requirements of various markets.
