Urban Skin Check

YSL

Bweez was commissioned by the YSL brand to develop a brand new skincare diagnostic tool. This was a significant challenge, as it was not only about offering a differentiating and totally innovative experience but also about enabling subsidiaries to massively develop a skin diagnosis at an affordable budget. The brand's choice was therefore oriented towards a predominantly software development, utilizing technologies specific to the L’Oréal group (Modiface) and integrating external APIs. This strategy has proven successful, as the deployment now includes more than 25 countries with 375 devices.

BIG IDEA

The emphasis on the "skincare routine created by AI" highlights the key role of artificial intelligence in skin diagnosis. The quick and accurate analysis of specific needs, such as hydration or signs of aging, allows for a more comprehensive diagnosis than what can be seen with the naked eye. Offering a personalized routine optimizes results by selecting products tailored to the user's unique needs, maximizing effectiveness and reducing irritation. The innovation of AI thus enhances the overall efficiency of the diagnosis and the routine.

MOODBOARD

The project takes on a distinctly pure graphic orientation, with the use of white and a strong color contrast (white/black).

The interface remains simple and minimalist in the form section, with the addition of micro-interactions to emphasize the messaging from the beauty advisors (BA).

The analysis offers a more innovative character with the introduction of facets linking the points of analysis on the face. The addition of color accents corresponding to each concern helps to structure the information and highlight its importance.

PROFILE DEVELOPMENT

The development of a form before the analysis phase allows for better targeting of the user to establish a precise profile, including their age group, gender, and lifestyle habits.

This information plays an important role in creating the recommendation and in our relationship with clients.

API INTEGRATION

For a reliable diagnosis, we have integrated location data through an international weather API. This allows us to gather key data (UV, pollution, stress) that influence the skin, enriching the algorithm and personalizing the experience according to each client's needs.

TRACKING

Facial tracking has refined the analysis of skin concerns by precisely targeting areas of the face (lips, cheeks, nose). The process involved analyzing the contour, adding tracking points, connecting them with lines, and creating curves to define the zones. This zoning allows for associating each concern with a specific area of the face.

SDK INTEGRATION

As a flagship tool of the L'Oréal group, Modiface has been seamlessly integrated into the overall diagnostic experience through close collaboration with internal teams.

The analysis of various skin concerns (dark circles, sagging, lack of radiance, etc.) allows us to provide precise and personalized recommendations based on the needs of each user. This analysis is characterized by meticulous attention to the details of each concern.

ALGORITHM

We have developed an algorithm that connects customer profile data, the weather API, and the Modiface SDK to provide ultra-personalized recommendations. Its modular design allows for adapting products to local marketing needs.
